The Holloways at London Fashion Week

Taking time away from working on the new album, the boys went along to London Fashion week and enjoyed many visual treats whilst rubbing shoulders with the lovely Erin O’Conner and Bryn was seen enjoying a chat with Rachel Stevens on the front row at the Jaeger show.

Obama Music by Bonnie Greer

This week we had the pleasure of attending a party for Bonnie Greer’s book “Obama Music”.

Its a great book detailing the roots of both Bonnie and Barack – South Side Chicago – a place where so much blues and gospel blossomed in the 20th century.

I (alfie) had the massive pleasure of reading aloud a short passage at the party; it was the most nerve racking experience though my nerves had been settled by Bonnie and her husband’s warmth.

The book fascinates and has inspired me to dive into the history of blues.
Bonnie Greer is a wonderful lady who is both warm whilst being cool as a cube.

Our friend Keira Rathbone did the artwork for the book too which is fantastic. We may have to get her involved on our next album artwork.

Bonnie (a playwright) has a play at the Apollo called Marilyn and Ella (about the friendship between Monroe and Fitzgerald) which we’re going to see on Sunday evening.

Fun in a Shop

So we played an in-store yesterday at Rough Trade East. Thanks to all who came down, it was a very fun afternoon. Those who didn’t make it missed out on us playing some very new stuff and the chance to meet us and get your copy of the single signed etc.. You even missed out on squeezing into a picture booth with us! We broke their record of people in the booth up to 7 in the image.. We also took one of just us!

BBC 6 Music today and the Hoff

So, today we went and did a session for the great man who is George Lamb for BBC 6 Music. Don’t worry if you missed it you can listen on the BBC iPlayer later on…. On the show we played our cover of Lily Allen’s ‘Not Fair’ and the new single ‘Jukebox Sunshine’ if you buy the physical version of the single from townsend or baquet then you get a proper recording of the Lily track too! But something more special happened today! We met Mr David ‘The Hoff’ Hasslehoff there. Not only a giant of a man but a great guy too… We spoke about clothes and where he was buying a new suit from. Then we spoke about his daughters upcoming music career!It rounded off a perfect morning. The single comes out we do a radio session with one of the best guys in the biz then meet a true living legend. All hail The Hoff!
